Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Civics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of political science and a strong commitment to educating students of classes 9 and 10. The Civics Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and a comprehensive understanding of civic concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum for Civics that aligns with educational standards and the coaching center's objectives. 

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students in classes 9 and 10, ensuring a thorough understanding of key civic concepts and political theories. 

  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. 

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. 

  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. 

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in political science and civics education to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant. 

  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to faculty meetings and training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A post-graduate degree in Political Science from a recognized university.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience teaching Civics or related subjects, preferably at the secondary school level. 

  • Strong knowledge of the political systems, civic rights and responsibilities, and contemporary political issues. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to engage deeply with the subject matter. 

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
